No one leads independently. We might think we answer to no one and that we make our own decisions, but all of us are influenced by the world around us. We are shaped by culture, our personal values and presuppositions, the people we listen to, and what we choose to fill our minds with. Who do you love? Who do you work for? Who do you seek to please or impress? These are the forces that shape your life and leadership. What will you allow to shape you today?

Lord God, You have saved me. You call me to live only for You, my Audience of One. So, this day, let me consider carefully any leadership choices in front of me. First and only, let me simply seek to make You smile. In Jesus' name I pray, amen.
