If someone sent you a message asking you to tell them about Jesus … would you?
I’m often asked how can technology be personal and how are the needs of a person seeking spiritual help addressed by a stranger on a computer? Not long ago, I received a phone call from a ministry leader who stated that a Christian must have a personal trust relationship before the sharing of faith in Christ can take place. Really? While I did not challenge that statement, I was led to Christ by a total stranger who had never before been in my home. Was this not the power of the Holy Spirit convicting my heart?
As we developed Global Media Outreach, our intent was to create a system that would support mass but highly personal evangelism. We also wanted to create and provide anonymous-intimacy to allow people the opportunity to express their felt needs in a confidential setting. Furthermore, we understood that since 7 out of 10 marriages in the US originated on the Internet, there was something highly personal and highly intimate going on in the digital world.
So the question became how do we find that one person out of 100 who is interested? Put a site out there telling them about Jesus by real people to respond to questions and needs.

They come to our 140 websites at the rate of 410-thousand every day, in multiple languages. They come seeking Jesus Christ in the midst of personal crises telling us they have no one to talk to. They come with issues of marriage, relationships, alcohol, drugs, family abuse, poverty, and violence to name a few. Some are suicidal. The come broken hearted over the sin that haunts them. They tell us they have prayed the prayer to receive Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. Through our 8-thousand online missionaries in multiple languages we then move them to basic discipleship training.
As we close 2011, we presented more than 150-million people with the Good News and saw over 19-million people pray to receive Jesus Christ from all 195 countries. Truly the fields are white for harvest and the words of Jesus ring daily in my ears, “This Gospel of the kingdom will be preached in the entire world as a witness to every nation, and then the end will come.” (Matthew 24:14).
