Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God’s grace in its various forms. 1 Peter 4:10
“What are you good at doing? What is something that you’re really good at? And don’t say ‘Nothing’ aloud or to yourself!”
What are you good at doing? (And don’t say “Nothing!”)
What is something that you’re really good at? (Don’t skim over this. Get specific. Say it out loud.)
Whether it’s connecting with kids, baking up goodies, organizing, encouraging, or making people feel at home, it’s a gift from God. As He knit you together, He weaved unique strands of personality, abilities, and passion into your soul. As a daughter of the King, you have been entrusted with at least one spiritual gift. What are you doing with it?
How are you using your gift to bring the message?
Hear the question. Not what should you be doing with your gift, or what good intentions do you have for your gift, or what did you used to do with your gift in the past. Think present. Now. Today. What are you doing with your gift? How are you using it to bring the good news of Jesus to others?
No one can bring the message through words and example, exactly like you. No one can distribute this gift to the places that you can, or in the ways you can.
To be a faithful steward of the gifts you have received, when you speak, do so as one who speaks the very words of God. When you serve, do so with the strength God provides. Why? So that in all things God may be praised through Jesus Christ. To him be the glory and the power for ever and ever. Amen (1 Peter 4:11).
Messengers God can use faithfully use their gifts to serve others.
