A life coach gives us good advice on how to navigate the rough waters of life.
A life coach gives us super-cool motivational talks.
A life coach gives good advice, which you can get from a new-age guru, or high school student.
Jesus as a life coach does not produce a joyous response of worship.
And what we worship, we become like.
What was the Apostles’ Paul’s view of Jesus?
Jesus was not a life coach to Paul.
In Paul’s theology, to see Jesus is to see God in His totality. And God is worthy of worship because He alone is the Great Treasure. Paul was occupied with Jesus. The grace of Jesus so captured him that he unceasingly occupied his mind with Jesus:
