Loyal Love

God’s loyal love couldn’t have run out, His merciful love couldn’t have dried up. They’re created new every morning. How great is your faithfulness! {Lamentations 3:22-23 MSG} This is my ultimate favorite verse!

A display of love captured my attention as my son and I were on a mommy date. We sat at the local deli sharing stories and lots of laughter. A couple caught my attention from across the dining area. They were both aglow. They had the grandest smiles on their faces as they embraced a waitress and listened intently to what was happening in her New Year. They kept looking at each other as she spoke and their smiles were increasing, almost as if they would burst. It was contagious. I could feel myself smiling with them, even though I was 20 tables away from them. Something within them was igniting. They continued their intriguing conversation.

I sat there attentive and listening to my sweet little boy as he told me about his first day back to school, his friends, and so much more. Very interesting facts. The life of a six year-old is full of many adventuresome stories. Enjoying our mommy date and savoring the moments.

The couple began walking past our table to place their order and I had this impression to tell them something. I knew that I couldn’t leave without sharing a word with them. I waited patiently as the couple placed their order.  As they were waiting for their soup and sandwiches, I approached them and gave them an encouraging word. I  began by saying… the LOVE of Jesus is all over you! You can just see it! They smiled bigger than I could imagine as they said, Yes, we love Him very much!! It was so evident.  So crystal clear. They looked adoringly at each other and you could feel something so sweet, so pure, so loving between the both of them. It was Jesus. Very much indeed.

My son and I walked out the door and he began to sing… I wish for a baby sister and a Happy New Year!  Whoa! That came out of the air from nowhere! A sweet desire.  My heart smiled as I thought about the loving couple that I had just had the honor to share hearts with briefly, and now this sweet request from my little boy. Oh, if only Mommy could have another baby. I would in a heartbeat… but sadly my body is not able to carry another baby. After having some complications in my pregnancies, my obstetrician advised me that 2 babies were enough.  I always feel the sweet whisper, you have many, many babies around you to love, cuddle and embrace and they love you! I am fully content knowing this. My son’s little heart doesn’t quite know how to accept that answer, so he wishfully repeats the phrase over and over again in a beautiful melody all the way back to his elementary school. I am full of smiles all the while.

I am sitting here reminiscing about our sweet time together. Excited and expectant to begin writing this post and the Holy Spirit whispers to my heart. Loyal Love. My love for you, for the world. It is a pure display for all the world to capture. Just like that couple in the deli today. They radiate my love. It ignites in others hearts and begins to spread rapidly. You radiate my love for all the world to see. Tell them they can do the same. Everyone. As they walk, talk, dine, and live… they are radiating ME. My loyal love!

The love between a mommy and baby is so precious and sweet. I have received countless messages from new mommies after delivering their sweet babies as they share how they never thought they could possibly love someone so much! The beauty of a mommy embracing her newborn brings sweet tears to my cheeks. That love begins to grow daily and the hearts between the two are connected for a lifetime.

God will lavish you with good things… children from your womb. {Deuteronomy 28:11}

God on His part will keep the covenant of loyal love… He will love you. He will bless you. He will increase you. He will bless the babies from your womb. {Deuteronomy 7:12-14 MSG}

When a woman gives birth, she has a hard time, there’s no getting around it. But when the baby is born, there is joy in the birth. This new life in the world wipes out memory of the pain. {John 16:21 MSG}

How many of you ladies can testify that labor and having a baby is no picnic in the park… it is a labor of love! As much as you love carrying this tiny baby within your womb, there comes a time for delivery and there is some pain involved. Did I say some?? No one ever said it would be easy. But as soon as your baby is born, and you look upon the sweetest face. Hear the most incredible first cry.

Smell the newness of your babies skin. You forget about all the pain. You just want to embrace your baby and forget about what you just went through in the delivery process. Kisses upon kisses flow between the two of you. You begin to memorize everything about them. Their tiny ear lobes, the softest lashes, the curves of their lips, the sweetest cheeks and countless other beauties. You are enamored by their beauty and love. They were created within you.

The same is true for you. The love that Jesus has for you is beautiful. It is a loyal love that lasts a lifetime. He memorizes precious details about you. He knows every hair upon your head. He knit you together in your mothers womb. He is crazy about YOU! He is in love with you! When you begin to truly grasp and understand this love that He has for you, it will show upon your countenance. The smile upon your face will show it. Just as the couple at the deli displayed the love of Jesus, you can too! Get your smile on! Let your love show! Let Jesus radiate through you.

God’s love is meteoric. His loyalty astronomic. His purpose titanic.  {Psalm 36:5 MSG}

Meteoric is brilliance & spectacular. Astronomic is huge, enormous, epic, gigantic, ginormous, jumbo. Titanic is enormous in size, strength and power, monumental, immense, larger than life. Are you getting this?? God says His love is this and so much more for you!

When I think about the love that I have for my own children. How I would do anything for them. A vast love that reaches far beyond. Nothing compares with this love. Multiply this love by infinity and that is the type of love that God has for you. Its so hard to even fathom this kind of love! It is yours for the taking. Receiving His loyal love is all you have to do.
