Need Relief?

If you took a stress test today, would you have a high score or a low one?

We live in a “stressed out world.” People are feeling overwhelmed. Their plates are way too full. So how do you find relief?

Go online and you’ll find all kinds of ideas to relieve stress including games. lotions, super foods, and using proper hand washing techniques. While some of these may offer some temporary relief, we need a way to relieve stress that lasts.

When the pressure is on, are you calm on the inside or do you feel like a time bomb, waiting to explode?

Did you know that there’s a guaranteed stress-reliever for every situation in life? Check out what the Bible says in Philippians 4:6: “Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done.” (NLT)

Imagine not having to worry about anything! It may seem strange because we all get stressed out. To care and be genuinely concerned about a person or situation is one thing. But to worry and stress is another. Jesus cautioned us against worry because it means that we’re not really trusting in God (Matthew 6:25-33).

God wants us to depend on Him and turn our worries into prayer. If you want less stress in your life, pray more! Every time you worry and stress out; stop and pray. Remember the Lord cares about all the things that cause us anxiety and promises to give us relief. Look at what Philippians 4:7 says: “Then you will experience God’s peace, which exceeds anything we can understand. His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus.” (NLT)

God's peace is different than what we experience in the world. It’s not found in positive thinking, in the absence of conflict, or in good feelings. Real peace comes from knowing that God is in control and trusting Him with all our concerns.

Remember - the Lord is the only one who’s able to and wants to solve your problems.

Put yourself in His loving and strong hands to experience stress relief in your life.
