This past Saturday morning, the capital of Nepal, Kathmandu, was hit by a 7.8 magnitude earthquake, injuring over 6,500 residents and pushing the death toll to over 4,000. The massive earthquake also triggered a large avalanche on Mount Everest, killing 18 climbers and leaving other climbers stranded on the slopes.
