Relentlessly Love Through Faith

Do you know someone who believes in God but hasn’t quite fallen in love with Him? It may be easy to read that question and instantly think of many other names, but let’s truly assess our own hearts here. The reality is, far too many people go through life without sincerely experiencing what it’s like to love with reckless abandon. If we want to love like that, we must first experience it from none other than God.

In 1 Corinthians, we see the importance of loving others. We could build billion dollar companies that would be worth nothing if we didn’t treat our employees and those around us with love. We could give money to the needy but if it’s done for recognition rather than out of love, is the momentary applause really worth anything?

If I could speak all the languages of earth and of angels, but didn’t love others, I would only be a noisy gong or a clanging cymbal. If I had the gift of prophecy, and if I understood all of God’s secret plans and possessed all knowledge, and if I had such faith that I could move mountains, but didn’t love others, I would be nothing.
1 Corinthians 13:1-2 NLT

I encourage you to look into the motives of your heart. If you find that you are doing things for any other purpose outside of love for others, get into the presence of the Holy Spirit. Allow God to overflow you with His most perfect, relentless love so that you may then pour His love into those around you.
