Shiny Messengers

Those who are wise will shine like the brightness of the heavens, and those who lead many to righteousness, like the stars for ever and ever. Daniel 12:3

Our position within The End Times is only known by our Father, but to read Daniel 12 we can be certain we haven’t seen anything yet. “At that time Michael, the great prince who protects your people, will arise. There will be a time of distress such as has not happened from the beginning of nations until then. But at that time your people–everyone whose name is found written in the book–will be delivered” (v. 1).

Jeremiah prophesied the same suffering: How awful that day will be! No other will be like it. It will be a time of trouble for Jacob, but he will be saved out of it (30:7). Jesus said, “If those days had not been cut short, no one would survive, but for the sake of the elect those days will be shortened” (Matthew 24:21).

These final days of distress are sure to come and will never be superseded. Our only hope in the heartache is Christ. Those who belong to Jesus will be delivered, saved, and rescued! This is God’s promise and our great hope as His children!

As recipients of His great Hope comes responsibility and a great urgency to bring the message! In the same vision God says that the wise will lead many to righteousness. Those who turn in faith to Jesus will tell others about Him. Suffering is temporary, but His messengers will shine like the stars for ever and ever (Daniel 12:3)!

When our eyes are fixed on earth instead of the eternal, we can become sluggish messengers. We delay difficult conversations, avoid awkward situations, and can be quick to justify all the reasons we are silent and slow to take action.

Those who know that this place is not our home and that Christ promised that “Yes, I am coming soon” live in the holy tension of prayer that says, Come, Lord Jesus, even as they plead for the lost with our Father who does not want anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance (Revelation 22:20, 2 Peter 3:9).

Until He calls us home or Jesus returns, messengers God can use lead many to righteousness.

Send Me: How are you bringing the message to your part of God’s World today?
