Freely you have received, freely give.” (Matthew 10:8 NIV)
This isn’t a complicated calling. Some people spend years in training and education for ministry jobs—a perfectly legitimate way to live out the gospel—but the calling of every believer is fundamentally the same: give out what Jesus has given to you.
Have you experienced God’s healing? Then declare his healing. Have you seen him deliver? Then offer his deliverance. Have you seen him release captives? Then declare his freedom. As D. T. Niles famously said, “Christianity is one beggar telling another beggar where he found bread.” Whatever God has done for you, you are to do for others. It’s that simple.
God’s blessing is the means for us to bless others. However we have experienced the kingdom of heaven, that’s how we are to share it. That’s how we received the kingdom in the first place—through someone who shared it—and it’s how our experience grows. In giving us a blessing, God has immediately qualified us to pass it on. The mission couldn’t be simpler—or more powerful.
