THOUGH THE LORD GAVE YOU ADVERSITY FOR FOOD AND SUFFERING FOR DRINK, HE WILL STILL BE WITH YOU TO TEACH YOU. YOU WILL SEE YOUR TEACHER WITH YOUR OWN EYES. YOUR OWN EARS WILL HEAR HIM. RIGHT BEHIND YOU A VOICE WILL SAY, “THIS IS THE WAY YOU SHOULD GO,” WHETHER TO THE RIGHT OR TO THE LEFT. — ISAIAH 30:20-21
It's a fact that women hear better than men! But to whom are the ladies listening? God wants to be the supreme voice in the life of each of His daughters. For when she follows His direction, she will not be misled. She will not be deviating from His path.
Yet today's world holds so many competing voices, people shouting for attention. So how does a woman of the Way know which voice is God's? By staying deep in His Word. By not just reading that Word but obeying it. By using that Word to filter all her circumstances to determine the real truth. By using that Word as a litmus test to prove all other theories, opinions, and observations.
Then, and only then, in the quiet, secret place, alone with her Savior, can she sense God's familiar presence, discern His voice, seek His direction, and determine her next step, confident that the Teacher is with her and giving her the best guidance she could ever ask for or imagine, saying, "This is the way you should go."
