For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life (John 3:16, NIV).
Something is on my mind today, and I feel I must share it with you. My friends, some of you have never made the decision to follow Jesus. I want you to know that everyone who has been reading this daily devotional has been introduced to Jesus. Just by your presence here, just by reading this today, you have been introduced to Jesus. Realize that Jesus has been reaching out to you, long before you’ve reached out to Him. Jesus is speaking to you at this moment, and it is time for you to respond, regardless of the newness of your acquaintance.
Many of you know a lot about Jesus. You’ve come to understand more about Jesus, and yet you’ve still been hesitant to step out in faith and follow Him as your Savior and Lord. I assure you, He’s trustworthy. He’s one you want to follow. He knows where He’s going. He’ll get you to where you need to go—ultimately, heaven.
If you’ve been reluctant to follow Jesus, let today be the day that you step out in faith and decide to follow Him, knowing that Christ has great plans for your life. He sees more potential in you than anybody on this earth does. You don’t want to miss out on your eternal destiny. I encourage you—choose to accept the call to follow Jesus. Today.
