Three Big Questions You Must Answer

“What comes into our minds when we think about God is the most important thing about us.” A. W. Tozer

The issue of “God” cannot be avoided. Immediately, when we consider our belief in God, three vitally important questions must be addressed:

  • Do you know about Him?
  • Do you know Him?
  • Do you make Him known?

…And do you see the need for all three?

  • To know God, but to not know about Him… is that possible?
  • To know about God, but to not know Him… is that not tragic?
  • To know God, but to not make Him knownis that conceivable?

Since the dawn of creation, these three questions about God have been central to the plight in the history of all humanity. Consider Moses, one of the great leaders of the Old Testament:

Moses said to the LORD, "You have been telling me, 'Lead these people,' but you have not let me know whom you will send with me…. If you are pleased with me, teach me your ways so I may know you and continue to find favor with you" (Exodus 33:12-13, emphasis mine).

Teach me your ways so that I may know you.... it’s a humble but desperate request, isn’t it? We must know about Him so that we can know Him, so that we can then make Him known. What we believe about God is the most important thing about us.

God, I know some about You, but I want it to go further than that. Help me to know You more so I can love You more, and, in turn, make You known to those around me! Amen.
