WAIT FOR THE LORD; BE STRONG AND TAKE HEART AND WAIT FOR THE LORD. - PSALM 27:14
In our society, we wait in line to buy groceries, to make bank deposits, and to pick up our kids from school. We wait in classrooms, exam rooms, and even in rooms called "waiting rooms."
WAITING IS A PART OF LIFE.
Because we dislike it, we seek to make things faster. With the invention of drive-through windows, we don't have to get out of the car. The meal is handed to us from a window as we drive by and pay. Microwaves have shortened cook times. We can even sign in online at an after-hours medical clinic to avoid waiting with all the other sick people. We can wait at home instead, where we are able to multitask!
Some things are worth waiting for. Would you agree? The right spouse is definitely worth the wait. Some people drive around for a few minutes waiting for that front-row parking spot to open up.
Sometimes we wait for just the perfect moment to share some news, whether good or bad, with family members or friends.
Waiting for God to answer our prayers is easier said than done. God does not hurry. Nor is He ever late. He is always right on time to bless us, and He has our best interests at heart. Seek God's answers for your questions, and be patient. Waiting on the Lord will always pay off.
LET'S PRAY:
Help me, Lord, to be more patient. I know that when You ask me to wait, You have a reason. Thank You, Lord, for Your provision. Amen.
