Want to Be a Good and Faithful Steward?

Three simple words, if you will embrace them in your heart, will set you on the path to being a steward that pleases God.  Here we go:  Owner, Controller, Provider. Got it?

God is the Owner of all things - Read Psalm 24:1:The earth is the Lord’s, and everything in it, the world, and all who live in it.

Take a deep breath and let out a sigh of relief. We are not the Owners! God owns every single thing: all that we can see, feel, touch, or put in our bank account.  He even owns you and me.

God is in Control of all things – Read I Chronicles 29:11: Everything in the heavens and earth is yours, O Lord, and this is your kingdom. We adore you as being in control of everything.  Riches and honor come from you alone, and you are the ruler of all mankind; your hand controls power and might, and it is at your discretion that men are made great and given strength.

God is our Provider – Read Luke 12:28:  And if God provides clothing for the flowers that are here today and gone tomorrow, don’t you suppose that he will provide clothing for you, you doubters?

Got it?  Three words – Owner, Controller, Provider. God is all this and more. Apply these truths to your financial decisions and you will be a good steward. Apply these truths consistently as you look to God for His guidance and wisdom with your financial choices and you will become both a good and faithful steward.
