When Change Is the Only Constant in Life

Sometimes, or most of the time, it seems as though the only constant in this world is change. We go from one chapter of life to the next with perpetual adjustments in our environments and relationships. From exiting school to entering the world of careers and beyond, we experience immeasurable aspects of change in our lives.

It can be a bit exhausting and even a little daunting to know that at any moment, everything can shift. So what should we hold on to in the middle of life’s chaos? We find this answer in Hebrews:

Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for he who promised is faithful. - Hebrews 10:23 ESV

When we experience the opposite of what God has promised us as believers, we must hold tight to our faith in His promises because He is faithful! God’s characteristics will never change. He is truth therefore; He cannot tell a lie. He is the same today as He was thousands of years ago and as He will be tomorrow. No matter what our circumstances are in life, we must negate what the world throws at us with our firm hope in God’s truth.

Whether you’re struggling with health issues or trying to break free from debt, the Lord has promised you abundantly more than you could ever ask or think (Ephesians 3:20). I encourage you to find a verse that speaks to your worldly circumstances and stand on that promise until you see it manifested in your life.
