You Reflect Jesus

As you get ready each morning, one of your jobs is to look in the mirror. Usually when people look in the mirror, they are critical. You need to make sure there’s nothing in your teeth, that breakfast is all off your face, and that your hair isn’t sticking out even more than normal.

Today, say nice things to the face in the mirror, to see just how awesome your God-designed face is.

The other thing about a Christian’s mirror is that you don’t just see you. You see Jesus. As Jesus’ brothers and sisters, “all of us reflect the Lord’s glory with faces that are not covered with veils, we are being changed into his image with ever-increasing glory” (2 Corinthians 3:18).

When Jesus came to earth, he lived his whole life for you. He never disobeyed his parents for you, never did anything wrong for you, and he chose to die on a cross—for you. Then he rose from the dead to make you part of God’s family, which means you get to claim his victory as yours.

Because of your faith, the face in the mirror looks just like Jesus.

Chomp on this!

Sometimes we don’t see Jesus in ourselves very well. Tell how you see Jesus in each of your family members.
