READ PSALM 51:7-12
The Holy Spirit is the PRESENCE of God himself in your life! God lives in you. More than that, the Holy Spirit is the PERSONAL presence of God himself in your life! The third entity of the Trinity lives in you. Even more than that, the Holy Spirit is God's personal, HOLY presence in your life! It is refining you, cleansing you, making you more like Jesus. Even more than that, the Holy Spirit is God's personal, holy, EMPOWERING presence in your life. The Apostle Paul tells you that, “If the Spirit of Him who raised Jesus from the dead is living in you...(Romans 8:11),” then you have power to live by, and power to touch others lives.
As believers, we are indistinguishable from everyone else in this world without the presence of God in our lives. With God's Spirit present in our lives, we can, at one and the same time, grow closer to Jesus and lead others closer to him as well.
This can be your prayer right now:
Lord God,
I need your personal, empowering and Holy presence in my life. I thank you that you have promised me that, and I ask once again that your Holy Spirit might inhabit every area of my life - my thoughts, my words, my actions, my hopes, my fears, my past, my present and my future.
Amen.
