1 Corinthians 16:9 "For a great and effective door has opened to me, and there are many adversaries." NKJV
There are many in the world that think life with God is an easy road. After all, you simply come to God and He paves a trouble-free path all the way up to the streets of gold. While there is a peace and joy that comes with following Jesus, the road is not easy. In fact, as you step out to serve the Lord, you will find many challenges along the way.
- When you step out to serve, you will be challenged.
- When you step out to give, you will be challenged.
- When you step out to love, you will be challenged.
The enemy of God desires nothing more than to stop us in our tracks. If our lives are being used to spread the Gospel, then Satan is not happy. Even though this is true, don't let it slow you down, because with Christ we have the power to overcome.
1 John 4:4 "You are of God, little children, and have overcome them, because He who is in you is greater than he who is in the world." NKJV
The enemy may try his hardest to sidetrack us and to pull us out of the work God is calling us to, but he is limited in his power. In Jesus, we are not. Even in the midst of enemies, trust in the greatest Friend you could ever have... His name is Jesus.
Life Lesson: Spiritual opportunities and spiritual adversaries often go together. You shouldn't run from adversity.
Dear God,
Thank You for the forgiveness of my sins and the power that is available through Jesus. Help me to see adversities as stepping stones to Your plan for my life. Give me the strength to endure the tough times and spiritual battles so that I can be used to reach others with the Gospel. In Jesus' name, Amen.
