Cry Out

Psalm 107:10-14 Some sat in darkness, in utter darkness, prisoners suffering in iron chains, because they rebelled against God’s commands and despised the plans of the Most High. So he subjected them to bitter labor; they stumbled, and there was no one to help. Then they cried to the Lord in their trouble, and he saved them from their distress. He brought them out of darkness, the utter darkness, and broke away their chains.

In some of my darkest times; sitting in my own prison of humanness, chained there by my selfishness, I cried out to God demanding to know why He had put me there. Why had He treated me so poorly, why had He thought so little of me that He would put me in this place? The answer came back, of course, that He didn’t put me there at all. I had done that all on my own.

Maybe you can relate to the darkness that can blind us, the chains that can bind us. Cry out to the Light, cry out to the One who sets us free, cry out to Jesus.
