The LORD looks down from Heaven on the sons of men to see if there are any who understand, any who seek God. Psalm 14:2 NIV
And He is looking down from Heaven today! What will He see?
God is waiting. His will is that He return Jesus to the earth; this time to gather His children and bring them Home. He has told us in His Word that He is patient, not wanting anyone to perish. (2 Peter 3:9) He has also said, that the day would certainly come, and we would play a part in the timing as we live holy lives that spur others on towards salvation (2 Peter 3:10-12). So, combining those two thoughts, which Peter has done for us so well, with today’s verse, which says God is looking down from Heaven, I wonder what God will see today?
When He looks into your workplace, will this be the day your lost co-workers come to faith in Christ? When He looks into your home, will this be the day that your family comes together in the Name of Christ, and completely trusts His will for your lives? Will He see you as a shining example of Christ in the hallways of your school? When we go to the malls and the grocery stores today, will He see us taking Christ along for the ride? When He looks at your heart, will He see a heart that is fully yielding itself to being like Christ? Is there any area of your life you would rather He didn’t see?
I wonder if God will see any who understand today; any who seek Him? I pray that He will see that in me! If you are reading this, then I’m praying that for you too!
