"Haven’t you read," He replied, "that at the beginning the Creator made them male and female, and said, ‘For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife, and the two will become one flesh?'" Matthew 19:4-5
THINK
God is the ultimate Creator who has created us in His image and with His purposes in mind. That’s true in every realm of life, including marriage.
Time and time again throughout the pages of Scripture, God has said that marriage is meant for one man and one woman. When we get under that definition, we begin to see the genius of God. We see purpose and power in His plan for marriage.
Do you align yourself with God’s Word and agree with that definition? Or do you malign God’s Word by twisting His definition of marriage?
PRAY
Thank God for His genius and perfection in creating man and woman individually and uniquely. Pray that others in our society would see that genius as well.
ACT
To get a clear picture of God’s desire for us to follow His plan, and to see the promise He has for us when we do, read Proverbs 3:5-6.
