God's Temple Glory, Part 5

And I heard a loud voice from the Throne saying, "Now the dwelling of God is with men, and He will live with them. They will be His people, and God Himself will be with them and be their God. Revelation 21:3 NIV

The temple glory of God was kept at a distance. Men could not enter into the temple when it was filled with God’s glory. Then Jesus came, lived and died and the temple glory was exposed unto the hearts of man. In the continual struggle to overcome sin, the glory of God has been denied access into the very private parts of the hearts of man. Thus, God’s glory has yet to be fully revealed.

Praise God for the Revelation given to John on the island of Patmos. In John’s Revelation of Christ, we read and rejoice that the temple of God will one day not be in a building, it won’t even be confined to the hearts of man, it will be the very substance of Heaven, holding it together, enhancing it, and taking us an eternity to bask in its presence. The glory of God will be fully exposed when God’s dwelling is made complete with man.

I can’t wait until sin is no longer my master. I can’t wait until the glory of God is my substance. I can’t wait until God’s temple is Himself! Then we will be fully known and we will be like Him, even in all of His glory. We will know Him with new insights, and it will take all of eternity to enjoy fully the glory of God.

The glory of God will be revealed and, we who know Him as Lord will be with Him forever! I can’t wait!
