Praise Break

“I will exalt you, O Lord, for you lifted me out of the depths and did not let my enemies gloat over me. O Lord my God, I called to you for help and you healed me. O Lord, You brought me up from the grave, you spared me from going down into the pit”--(Psalm 30:1-3, NIV).

Have you taken a “Praise Break” today? For years as I rose and as I lay down, I knelt beside my bed and prayed. My prayers consistently went something like this, “Me, me, me, my family, my money, my.” In my head I believed that I had the whole prayer thing covered; my heart, however, was heavy and troubled; something was missing. One day, out of the blue, all the loving and joyful pressure that had been building in my heart was unexpectedly vented in praises to my Lord. It was then I realized what I had been missing; I needed to take a “Praise Break.” Daily, at some point or points during my “busy” day I take a second or two just to say, “Thank You Father” so that I might safely release the built up praise, glory, and love my heart generates for my Lord daily. The tagline of my business and ministry is: “It just takes a second;” that is to say that we should be able to take a second two or three, or ten times a day to pray as David prayed. To thank and exalt our Father for all the things He has done and is doing for us daily. Don't allow the praise to build up, it may explode one day.
