Jeremiah 29:12
Then you will call upon me and come and pray to me and I will listen to you. You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart. I will be found by you, declares the Lord.
Do you ever feel like God is nowhere to be found? You pray and pray and you feel like your prayers only reach the ceiling, then fall flat on the floor? God understands these feelings and He has given us all an answer of comfort. In Jeremiah, God gives us the promise that IF we seek Him with all of our heart, we will find Him.
The key to the verse is seeking God with all of your heart. Is there anything in your heart that is blocking your path to God? It could be wanting your way over God’s way, your stubborn will, a grudge you are holding against someone or unforgivenness. Any of these traits could be an obstacle that hinders you from seeking God with all your heart. God is ready and willing to be found, but you cannot play games with Him. Remove any blockades and be honest with God; He is ready to be found by you.
Prayer
Father, Thank You that You are a holy God, yet You are willing to have a relationship with me. God, I pray that You would reveal to me anything blocking my path to You. If there is, give me the strength to deal with it, so I may seek You with all of my heart. I want to be heard by You and to walk with You every step of my life.
