Speak Out!

Youth produce a weekly, one-hour live radio show on Pesa´ 92.3FM in the Dominican Republic.

They are part of Jovenes Protagonistas que Cambian el Mundo (Young Protagonists Changing the World) a leadership development program.

“I used to be very shy and quiet...ashamed to talk to people, and now I have learned to talk to people. I discovered what I want to be in life,” says Ambar, a World Vision sponsored child.

World Vision provides workshops on how to speak on air, structuring a story, interviewing people, and brings in national radio professionals for training. World Vision also pays for the weekly studio time.

There are about 25 youth in the group. On their show they talk about health, arts, culture, education, sports, public policies, and politics that are related to children and youth.
